Mr. Sirhal has served Scouting as Cubmaster, troop and ship committee chair, district chair, council president, RI Boy Scout Board member, council vice president of program & membership, Order of the Arrow lodge and associate section adviser, area president, area vice president of council operations / council support / governance and Jamboree subcamp chief. Also Northeast Region vice president of outdoor adventure/program, Venturing Adviser, Sea Scout Commodore, and Wood Badge chair.
At the national level, he has been Order of the Arrow vice chair for training, Jamboree Operations Group vice chair, Philmont Training Center Conferences Committee chair, member of the Sea Scout and Cub Scout committees. He also organized and led the National Basic Training Task Force in 2000 including a rewriting of the Cub Scout Leader Basic Training course.
Outside of Scouting, Mr. Sirhal has supported United Way of Rhode Island as vice chair for allocations and long-time board member and the Courthouse Center for the Arts as president. He also has served as president of the Tavern Hall Preservation Society, as state chair of Ducks Unlimited and a board member of the Potter Fund of the RI Foundation.
